Heron " on the hunt"

A multi-block Cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black (K) woodblock print.  Each colour has a light and intense block with 8 blocks this will give a potential for 64 colours.  The diagram shows the basic idea of how the colours mix.  In theory you do not need to add a black layer as all of the colours mix to black, in practice with transparent ink a black layer helps show more detail.

As the project proceeds I will add more videos showing design, carving, proof and final editioning using the traditional Japanese mokuhanga methods.
