Welcome to my catalog of wood block prints. After a career in information technology & information security, I retired and moved to the west coast of Canada . While in BC, my wife and I started a small business making artisan soap, shampoo and other bath and skin care products. I also did a lot of woodworking including wood turning, making bowls, candlesticks and other items as a complement to the soap products. During that time I took some west coast Indigenous carving seminars with Herb Rice. I used the techniques to put texture on wood turnings and furniture. This then led to an interest in relief printing. I had started learning mokuhanga (Japanese wood block printing) on the west coast but did not have sufficient time. We then moved back to Ontario and started exploring the method in detail.
